Things I Support, With Love

Every so often I like to do a bit of a round up of things that are on my radar, or that my friends have created, or that have simply spoken to me on some level, in the hope that they’ll reach you and do the same.

Right now I’m digging:

The Desire Map

Total game changer.

When I bought The Desire Map yesterday I had a vision of sitting down with my husband over the Xmas break and mapping out our “core desired feelings” to form the basis of how we want to feel for 2013. Ever since I’ve known Ramai, he’s been banging the “I base my goals on how I want to feel” drum, and through him, I’ve adopted the same philosophy so I suspected that he’d be on board for a bit of dreaming and scheming, Danielle-style.

I was right. He saw my tweet saying I’d bought it and messaged me not long after saying “I’ve been checking out the website and it looks awesome – we should do this together.” Have I mentioned how much I love this man?

Last night we listened to part of the audio in bed and we’ve both been reading up today, and I can tell you that this is revolutionary stuff. The user portal alone is an experience – stunning and state-of-the-art – but it’s the depth of the wisdom D imparts that’s really blowing my mind.

2013. Next level. Declared and shared.

Oh and PS: anyone can join the Desire Map Facebook group, so take this as your loving invitation to get your booty in there, stat!

Pretty Fluffy ’52 Weeks of Treats’ eBook

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Serena from Pretty Fluffy you’ll know that not only is she clever and brilliant, but she is also one of the most generous souls around. The real deal. A total gem.

Serena has always been a big supporter of In Spaces Between and it’s my turn to send some love her way because her SERIOUSLY gorgeous new eBook has been launched with love into cyberspace and even though we don’t have a dog of our own (yet – although we are stupidly fond of our family dog) I was mesmerised when I saw 52 Weeks of Treats. I mean, wow. Talk about smashing the top off the eBook quality-o-meter!

Filled with 26 easy and nutritious recipes – along with step-by-step instructions – you’ll also find inside handy tips, an illustrated shopping guide and ‘special occasion’ treats.

Is it weird I want to whip some of these up for myself? (kidding. Sort of).

Anyway, head over and check the book out and if you’ve been stuck on Xmas pressie ideas for the dog-lover in your life, I have a feeling you might just be covered now.

Gabrielle Bernstein’s Spirit Junkie App

This one isn’t out yet but I can assure you that Gabby’s app is most certainly on my To Get list once it is.

Spirit Junkie gorgeousness.

UPDATE: the app IS out and I’m looking at it right now. Hooray!

The Conversation

I’ve been following Amanda De Cadenet and The Conversation for the past few months and over the weekend I watched a few episodes on TV (an actual TV – imagine!), which I absolutely loved.

If you need some feminine energy in your life, I highly recommend tuning in to Amanda’s ‘honest talks’ – they are as enlightening as they are entertaining.

(psst… you know she’s married to Nick Valensi from The Strokes right?)

What about you: is the anything turning your crank at the moment that we should know about?

Also worth mentioning here that I’m in no way affiliated with any of these products,  just genuinely excited by them!

  1. Ohh I love Amanda De Cadenet, The Conversation is like a giant hug from a reassuring older sister! It never fails to make me feel wonderful and optimistic.

  2. You’re the gem Rach! Thank you so much for your beautiful words and generosity xxx

And PS. You’re not the first human to want to try the treats!! :)

  3. Someone’s on fire!!! Ive been checking out the desire map so much too. May cave in real soon. (and did Ramai really say that? Swoon! What a cool dude.)

  4. Omg, I LOVE The Conversation too!! I just found it a few weeks ago and I feel so empowered and lovely after watching the videos. Great stuff :)

  5. I’m so jealous that your man spontaneously says things like: “let’s do this visionning together”. I’m with someone who is extremely self-confident and doesn’t do a lot of forward planning. Has your man always been like this? Did you create that change in him? I know I try to say things like: today honey I’d like us to talk about our plans for later etc. But it’s quite difficult and I often feel like I’m the annoying girlfriend who wants to control everything, when really I just want us to have realistic expectations and don’t get disapointed if the other doesn’t answer them.

  6. Nathalieso: His parents instilled that thinking in him but it’s definitely strengthened over the past 5 or so years. In saying that, I’m much more of a planner than Ramai and where I’ll start the year with a bunch of things I want to tackle, he’ll generally just aim to feel happy/ peaceful/ fulfilled and life always delivers that for him.

Everyone’s different with how they like to plan out their future for myriad reasons (a desire to enjoy the moment, uncertainty around where they want to go etc) and my only advice here is to keep approaching YOUR visions YOUR way. While big visions and dreams are wonderful and give you a great target to work towards, essentially all that matters is right now so if you’re happy right now, then that’s cause for celebration! xx

  7. Thank you for this lovely and thoughtful reply Rachel, it shows your skills as a coach I think.

  8. Fantastic blog! Do you have any recommendations for aspiring
writers? I’m planning to start my own site soon but
I’m a little lost on everything. Would you recommend starting with a free platform like WordPress
or go for a paid option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally overwhelmed ..
    Any suggestions? Thank you!
