  1. Gah!! Your blog is my new favourite procrastination tool. There’s so much goodness in one place – I love it! Me and my fiance are on day six of the Clean Program and are feeling good. We’ve discovered so many new ways of cooking and recipes. And little miss almond milk has changed our lives for the better. Have you tasted that stuff? It’s not the cheapest alternative but Rice Milk just wasn’t cutting it. Hope you’re having a great start to the week. x

  2. Hey Claire! Haha, happy to be your procrastination tool :) Awesome news about the Clean program! I’ve just been making almond milk with almonds + water, but is the shop stuff better? Think I’m going to whip up some pumpkin soup tonight because I saw that in the book (under “butternut squash soup”) so that should last a few nights. What else have you been cooking up? xx

  3. Oooo that’s very clever of you. How do you do that with the almonds and water? Do you just boil and simmer it for a while? I don’t know if it’s better than homemade but the one we’re drinking is by EcoMil and it’s delicious. Good idea on the soup, it’s a little cooler today so perfect timing. We’ve been living on quinoa (how did I not eat this instead of rice earlier?) mixed with seafood. We even had lean lamb the other night and stuffed it with a veggie quinoa… So good! And, while I am craving a slice of bread and a cup of tea, we really have learnt so much about what we’re putting into our bodies. It makes you kind of feel proud that you’re stepping up to the plate (excuse the pun) and making more of an effort, don’t you think? x

  4. I just soak the almonds for a few hours (or overnight in a bowl of water in the fridge) and then you blend them in the blender with (fresh) water and voila, you get almond milk! Ooh the lamb and quinoa sounds nice… I need to get more creative with it all, have been so busy I haven’t had time to make up some good meals for lunch and getting bored of chicken & salad. And yep, I know what you mean, it’s a nice thing to do for your body for sure xx

  5. Oh wow! Thank you so much for mentioning my blog! That is so sweet and it made my day :-)

And so you know, I love your blog!!! I’ll be visiting regularly and adding it to my blogroll!
