2014: Lessons, Loves + The Moments that Moved Me

2014-in-review

This year felt like a series of divine assignments, stacked neatly upon each other.

It was a year of mind-boggling highs.

Where bold intentions were scrawled on Post It notes, shoved under crystals… and made manifest.

Where I softened, stretched, released, rejoiced.

It was one of guidance AND resistance.

2014 was the year I drilled right down into my ‘me-ness,’ with intention.

It was EPIC on all fronts.

My wise and luminous friend Ezzie, who I’ve had the pleasure of deepening a friendship with in the past twelve months, said to me in a reading before the last New Year dawned:

__________________________________________________________________

‘This is a coming of age year. Time to stand up as a leader, being prepared to shoulder responsibility as well as to enjoy the fruits of a long labour. Not a comfortable time, necessarily, but a time of coming into your power in a whole new way. It’s also a year of laying foundations for what’s to come in 2015.’

    • Lady! Thank you for your divine distance healings/ readings in 2014 (far out, I’ve forgotten so many things in this recap.) NEXT YEAR :: 6 monthly recaps I reckon.

  2. Rachel my love, this morning (in Bali!), I was looking for a way to round-off this year and welcome in the next, and I found everything I was looking for in your beautiful round-up.

This is the part that got me, the thing I didn’t know I’d been struggling with, but you brought it out so eloquently:

// Say yes to the things that scare you quickly, BEFORE you have the chance to over-think, over-analyse and allow your ego to take the reins.

Thank you so much for being such a guiding light this year. Your 2015 round-up is going to be out-of-this-world.

    Happy New Year, lovely!

    Love, Katie xx

  6. Wow, this article takes my breath away. Great work, Rachel! I am ending the year with reading ‘Spirited’. I can’t express how much my life is changing. In November I was so depressed that I thought not being alive is easier and now I am pouring my heart and soul into my passions, meaningful work, writing on my blog, helping people, attending b-school, attending Mastin Kipp’s book presentation, there is Tara’s yoga retreat, Mastin Kipp’s mastermind writing retreat in Bali and I am fulfilled with love, ease and vibrance. Happy New year, Rach! Thank you for teaching me that anything is possible. With love and gratitude, Teresa Valentina

I absolutely loved the post! You have create such magic in 2014 and I look forward to what is to come in 2015 (for me as well :)).

I love that you speaking into how you want people to feel when entering a space of something that you have created. I feel the same way. I often ask myself…”How do I want my reader/client to feel when they come to my site/work with me?”

Thank you for sharing and the inspiration that you provide.

I am so grateful to you for creating that incredible space. It has shaped and enlightened me more than I can tell you. I can’t wait to see what 2015 has in store for you and me both. Lots of love from across the world, Nikki x

  10. Hi Rachel

Loved reading your summation of an amazing 2014. WOW. You are an inspiration, and I look forward to watching and reading about your 2015 unfolding.

    Happy New Year. x

  11. Wow Rach, I loved this. So simple, yet so inspiring. Thanks for taking the time to share it. It was such a personal reflection of what worked for you in business and life this past year. So beautifully expressed. Thank you. x

  12. I loved reading this Rachel (and just printed out that last page). It’s funny, I remember seeing you at the BHB conference with Julie Parker and having no idea of who you both were, but somehow feeling like I needed to find out. Fast forward a few months, and thanks to BE & BH I have a blog, a website, and will soon start life coaching thanks to the BYCA course that I am loving. What an unexpected mid-life change that feels so aligned to who I am- and you are a big part of that. Here’s to an awesome 2015! xx

  13. Wow…what a way to describe 2014!!! Rachel I have no words to express how grateful I am for the amazing things you have helped me achieve this year through BE&BH round 2, the Radical End of Year Party, your newsletters and your blog. I am surrounded by such inspiring women and I’ve never felt so much love, encourage and support. You made this happen and you should be so so so proud! I hope that you rock 2015 with just as much love and inspiration :-)
    Thank you again!

  14. Wow. Tingles and tears.
I want to thank you so much for the inspiration you have brought into my life in only a month. I’m a different person in my heart and soul than i was only a short time ago and you are in my list of people to thank for that. I look forward to everything that you are bringing to 2015 and hoping that i can get involved in BE & BH when you announce that. Today i completed my first blog post. And i can’t tell you how proud i am of that. I can’t wait to see what the new year brings, but i feel in my bones that its going to be an amazing year. I wish you nothing but the best for 2015.
    Thanks Em

  20. Hi Rachel,

Love your blog, and a proud student of BE&BH. I joined that program from a completely non-blogging background — I have a line of travel fashion for women, and also do retail consulting.

I found myself constantly inspired in the course to dig into how I can truly help my ideal client/customer live a better life, and it’s enhanced my on-site experience as well as blogging efforts.

One post I created (inspired by BE&BH) with a free giveaway goal planning template for 2015 has driven thousands of visitors to my site.

Thank you for your ongoing warmth and transparency. I wish you all the best for an amazing 2015!

  21. Hi Rachel, I’ve found your site, blogs and books recently (through Pinterest) and am completely in love. Thank you for putting out SUCH great content, selflessly. It’s also my mission to help others feel empowered to leave their unique imprint on the world. Soul sistas! :) Congratulations on such a great 2014 and many positive vibes/wishes for a (continued) stellar 2015!
